The Kansas City Royals recalled right-hander Brian Bannister from Triple-A Omaha to start Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago White Sox. Bannister, facing the White Sox for the first time, will make his seventh major league start. He was 1-1 with a 2.61 ERA in four starts at Omaha. His father, Floyd Bannister, was 16-14 for the Royals in 1988-89.
