    Royals pitcher Hudson to begin season on DL (AP)

    Kansas City Royals pitcher Luke Hudson will begin the season on the disabled list with a sore shoulder. Hudson had been expected to fill a slot in the rotation after going 7-6 with a 5.12 ERA for the Royals last season. Brandon Duckworth, a non-roster invitee to spring training, or Brian Bannister will probably take Hudson’s spot.
