The last-place Kansas City Royals are giving playoff contenders a tough time. Luke Hudson threw seven strong innings, Ryan Shealy hit a go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning and the Royals beat the Minnesota Twins for the second straight night, 4-3 on Wednesday. Kansas City has won 10 of its last 14 against teams in first or second place, and Hudson has earned four of those victories.
